Milestones

This was one of the home sides worst performances of the season and it effectively ruled out promotion.

In the early stages Christie tested Dunn with an angled drive and at the other end Calder held a Pew 20 yard drive. Arbroath took control and in 14 minutes MacArthur cleared a Roberts effort off the line.

Caley Thistle had a chance in 35 minutes when a Lisle drive went wide. Just before the interval Christie tested Dunn with a fine right foot drive.

The home side emerged in the second half in a changed strip but their play was only marginally better. Arbroath took the lead in 54 minutes when Roberts collected a McCabe pass and drove it home from 20 yards. Shortly after a Hercher header was brilliantly saved by Dunn. In 75 minutes Hercher saved the day when he headed home a Bennett free kick.
